Add a DNS record for a Primary zone
To add a new DNS record, you can follow the steps below to setup the a service for your zone.
- Click the Primary DNS tab in the Cloud Services navigation menu.
- On the Primary DNS tab, click the name of the DNS zone you would like to add a record to.
- On Create primary zone, click the Add Record button.
On ADD RESOURCE RECORD, specify your record details:
- Choose RR Type
The DNS resource record (RRtype) informs a client what IP address(es) or fully-qualified domain name is associated with that domain name record. - Name this record
The hostname for the resource record. - Provide a value
How soon should secondary nameservers retry requesting the SOA record number should the primary does not respond. If your record has more than one value for the record, you may enter another value. To enter additional values, press the + sign to the right of the field to create addition value fields. To remove a value, press the – sign next to the value you want to remove. To change to only a single primary server, remove all added fields by pressing their corresponding – sign and deleting the values. - Time to Live (TTL)
The default Time to Live value for DNS records within the zone if one is not specified. The TTL informs recursive DNS resolvers how long to cache a response for a DNS record.
- Choose RR Type

Click the Save button.

On Create primary zone, click the Save button.
